Throws and Blankets
Standard size these hand woven throws are 48"x72", a convenient cover-up size but any length and up to 52" wide is possible. Lap robes would be about 48" square. For double width blankets, see the Billington blanket in Custom Weaving.
The fibers I use are wool, mohair (which comes from angora goats), alpaca, llama/wool blend, silk/wool blend, and rayon chenille - a pleasant fiber for warmer weather. Baby blankets are washable merino wool and large enough to last into childhood. They are hemmed, not fringed. See the Yarn Choices page for more about the yarn vendors and links to their color cards.
